A Day of Running Errands

I love errand days! Although they require you to run all over town, they are the most busy and productive days. I feel like staying busy keeps my mind at a happier state. I have no time to worry about little things or think too much.

First thing in the morning, I finished packaging my orders for my Instagram shop (@shoplittleredbowtique). Then I went ahead and had some breakfast and made a list of the things I needed. I had some cereal and Greek yogurt for the first time. Today I also found out that I’m not a big fan of Greek yogurt. After that discovery, I went to go get ready. Today I wore some amazing Bait Footwear heels that my sweet hubby got me for Christmas. Amazingly, they were comfy enough to wear all day! Didn’t even have to break these puppies in! Then off I went to my adventure. I won’t bore you guys with details on my trip to the post office, grocery store, Micheal’s, etc.

Well there is a Typical Monday for you guys. I hope you all have an amazing week!

What’s in my bag?

I’ve been wanting to do one of these posts for the longest time, and the only thing holding me back was all the junk I had in it! I’m sure you didn’t want to see my mess of receipts, change, and wrappers. Well I finally got to cleaning it out, and now I can share what I carry around with me on a daily basis.

My favorite thing in my bag is my Danny Brito zipper pouch. That’s where I carry my little makeup things. You must check out his Etsy shop! He is such an amazing artist, and he makes the cutest things!

When it comes to makeup, I’m really basic. I recently bought my first lipstick, and now I can’t go anywhere without it. I’ve always been a big lip balm fan though. Soft Lips brand never fails me. I
also have my Sour Punch Straw lip balm to remind me of the old days where I used to be a Lipsmacker addict. My favorite mascara is Cover Girl lash blast volume. I’ve been using it for years!

I always have to have my specs with me, because I am a blind woman without them. Same goes with my wallet or I’m a poor woman without it.

If any of you have a “What’s in my bag?” post on your blog, I’d love to see it! Link it to my comments bellow.

Hope you all have an amazing weekend!

Shapes & Colors

Even though yesterday was one of the coldest winter days, I decided to bust out the brightest things that I have in my closet. Unfortunately, it didn’t make me any warmer!

As I’ve mentioned in one of my previous posts, I like to participate in the Coast To Coast Challenge on IG. Well the challenge yesterday was “geometric”, and this was quite the challenge for me! I don’t own a lot of geometric inspired clothes. However, when I was getting ready I remembered that I had purchased a Navajo inspired t-shirt not too long ago that had some geometric shapes going on. I’m also still moving, so a t-shirt was perfect! It’s really colorful, which is why I love it so much! I’ve been wearing jeans a lot lately because I’ve been doing a lot of painting and cleaning. I wanted to change it up though so I wore my favorite red pleated skirt and big bird tights. Oh so comfy!

This has probably been the longest move ever! It feels never ending! I haven’t had Internet for about a week now, and I’ve been blogging from my Blogger app. This is probably why my posts look so odd and are missing links and all that good stuff. Oh first world problems! Well this should all be over before New Years Eve. That is definitely a reason to celebrate!

Getting With The Times

I have seen so many bloggers write on their pictures and I always wondered how they did it. Well I finally tried it! As you can see, I still need some practice on my handwriting on my tablet. This took me the longest time to do! I did it around 5 times because I kept trying to save it, and then I couldn’t find it once it was saved. Lets just say I’m not very tech savvy. Well after 5 mini heart attacks here is a picture with my writing on it.

I wrote one of my favorite lyrics on this picture. It comes from “Walk Away” by Ben Harper. Great song.

Anyway, I hope you all are having a great weekend! I am in the process of moving so that is what my weekend and coming week will consist of. We all know the joys of moving. Wish me luck!

Two Years Down and a Lifetime To Go

Two years ago I married my best friend and soul mate.

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man by my side. No matter how rough or how good times are, he is always next to me encouraging me and helping me see things in a better light. Today we are celebrating for the many years that are to come! I’m so excited for our future together!

I love you with all of my heart, sweetie.

Goals for 2013.

I’m pretty hopeful that the world isn’t going to end in a few days. Therefore, I am making a few goals for the blog already. I have been such a bad blogger this year, and I’m definitely on the naughty list. All I have under my blog Christmas tree is coal. Wah. However, I am hoping to change my ways for 2013, and for the days that are left of December. I am hoping to spice things up a bit! I want to get my creative juices flowing and maybe add different types of posts to the blog.

I already have a few DIY projects in mind, recipes, and maybe even vlogs! I love music so maybe I can share a few playlists with you guys! Lets swap playlists! I can never have too many good songs to listen to. There’s just so much that can be shared! I have seen so many gorgeous blogs that really keep me inspired. I hope one day I can be an inspiration to someone.

Also, blogging is such a great outlet. As humans we are capable of so many amazing things. Lets invest our time and energy into doing positive and amazing things! I am mostly preaching to myself because I have such a bad tendency of wasting time. I’m not only looking to improve my blog, but also improving myself as a human being. Life can get really tough, but most of the time those situations are temporary. Lets not waste our time worrying or moping around. Lets put that energy into writing, reading (which I need to do more of), learning, creating, laughing, and encouraging each other.

Ah, I got carried away. Anyway, you all get what I mean. Let me know if you guys have anymore ideas on ways to make this place a little bit more lovely! Thank you!

Christmas gift ideas for him

1. AEO Reindeer Trapper Hat
I don’t think this hat is available online anymore, but I saw this at my local American Eagle store. I wanted it for myself, but my husband loved it too! It’s a reindeer hat, but as long as it’s cold it can be rocked. I may have to sneak over to the mall one day and just get it for him. (Hope he doesn’t read this blog post before Christmas too.) I may have to borrow it too.
2. You’re Alright in My Hook Sweater
My husband and I both share a love for anything nautical. When I saw this sweater, I knew he would love it too. Modcloth never fails.
3. DC Comics Batman Cozy Throw With Sleeves (I’d rather call it the Batman Snuggie)
I can’t use this as a gift for my hubby, because he couldn’t wait until Christmas when he spotted this at Hot Topic. It is made out of the softest and warmest material. Our guys will always be our super heroes, but what guy doesn’t want to be Batman?!
4. Minnetonka Men’s Double Bottom Fleece Slipper
I own three pairs of Minnetonka moccasins, and I LOVE them! They have the best quality mocs. My husband recently bought these shoes, and he loves them. They are true to size. At first, they may seem a little snug, but once they are broken in they are golden. They are perfect for this cool weather as well. So cozy.
5. Favorite Bough Tie
Modcloth does it again! This bow tie is so genius! This Bow tie by Wood Thumb is so unique. I would be perfect for a date night or maybe even for work. Whatever the occasion is, they will be as dapper as ever.

Hope your holiday shopping is going smoothly or almost coming to an end! Nothing screams happy holidays as loud as crowded shopping centers.
